Every Minnesota family deserves access to safe and affordable childcare.

But affordability should not come at the cost of losing choice. Many families rely on home daycares, faith-based providers, and small local childcare businesses that serve our communities every day.

I experienced this personally when my own family temporarily used childcare assistance. Even when options existed nearby, many smaller providers struggled to participate in the system.

Parents should be able to choose the childcare provider that works best for their family.

I support expanding childcare affordability through tax relief and practical reforms that preserve parental choice and support local providers.
